“Man, that is a weird title,” Miche spoke.
“All of those titles are weird,” Campbell replied.
“No they’re not, they’re awesome!” Aaron replied emphatically.
“Why are they like that anyway?” Campbell asked.
“I dunno,” Aaron shrugged. “Maybe Japanese people like two titles in one.”
“I’m okay without it,” Campbell said, turning to the tv screen.
“Why are we watching this anyway?” Miche asked.
“I thought you’d like it!” Aaron exclaimed!
“Why, because I’m a girl?” Miche crossed her arms.
“No--- Yeah…” Aaron lowered his head.
“Maybe not necessarily. Aaron loves this show (and I refuse to watch it with him)—“ Campbell began.
“You’re watching it now smart-ass…” Aaron frowned.
“Not the point. Anyway, he loves this show. So, maybe it’s part gender and part his passion for it.”
“Not the point. Anyway, he loves this show. So, maybe it’s part gender and part his passion for it.”
“Understandable,” Miche replied. “Thin line, you know?”
“Why are you two still talking!” Aaron yelled, focused on the tv. The trio had decided to take a break in searching for Blink, who proved harder to find than they though. Even with Aaron’s psychic abilities, the young man was nowhere to be found. At this point, their Blink, or Future Blink if they could contact him, seemed to be the key to figuring out the mess with the other time travelers.
“About Blink,” Miche spoke up. Aaron turned to her with a look of scorn, though it changed when he realized she was bringing up an important issue.
“Yeah?” Aaron paused the DVD.
“Maybe he has more access to his powers.”
“It’s a possibility, I guess, but we also have to consider that Future Blink seems to be years older than him.”
“True. In that time, he could have had a lot of practice. We just don’t know what that time frame is,” Campbell added. “Still, it’s something to keep in mind.”
“Right,” Aaron nodded. “So, do we have a plan of action?”
“Well, I think all we can do is try to look for Blink when we can. Otherwise, we have to wait for another attack,” Miche shrugged.
“Wow. That really sucks…” Aaron sighed and turned played the DVD.
After watching a few episodes, Campbell suggested going to Barton Park to get some fresh air. The weather was fair, so it was worth getting outside. They decided to walk around the edge of the park, in hopes of getting their minds moving.
“Hey,” Aaron began in a soft voice. “Do you think this is something we should worry about?”
“What?” Campbell asked.
“All the attacks,” Aaron looked him in the eyes.
“Yes!” Miche raised her voice.
“Of course!” Campbell did the same. “These people are actively trying to kill you!”
“Breaker wasn’t?” Aaron tried to offer some reassurance.
“It got to that point, though.” Miche offered.
“Yeah, I know, I know. Just… It’s been nice to use my powers in the open like this. It’s actually been fun.” Aaron smiled.
“I’m sure it has,” Campbell started, placing a hand on Aaron’s shoulder, “but we can’t forget that your life, and the lives of other people involved or near any fights, are at stake.”
“That, and we also don’t know why or how to prevent any more attacks,” said Miche.
“I guess I’ve tried to avoid thinking about that. A lot of this seems unreal,” Aaron lowered his voice.
“Hey,” Campbell pulled him in. “We are going to try our best to figure this out. I may not have any powers, but I’ll try my best to protect you.”
“I don’t need protecting,” Aaron laughed. “I just need help and support.”
“Well, that’s what I’m here for, too,” Miche smiled. Aaron looked forward as they continued walking.
“Did you feel that?” Campbell asked.
“What?” Aaron responded.
“A—“ Campbell began.
“Tremor?” Miche was puzzled as the ground shifted.
“Yeah…” Campbell stopped.
“I’ve actually kind of been floating this entire time…” Aaron admitted. Miche and Campbell turned to him with looks of disbelief until another set of tremors began. Various things in the park began to shake: light posts were beginning to move violently, benches were rattling. People in the park with them began to scatter to safety.
Aaron’s eyes started to glow. “Get ready.”
Miche steadied herself and Campbell looked around to see if he could spot anyone. Soon, they heard a loud rumble. They all looked in the direction of the noise and found a thin young man wearing glasses. He stared at them blankly.
“You think it’s him?” Miche asked.
“It’s not like these people have looked a certain way so far,” Aaron shrugged as he used his telepathy to try to read the young man’s mind. “Yeah. It’s him. His name is Golem. I think this is going to be a tough fight.”
“How so?” Campbell asked. Aaron didn’t even need to answer as five giant stone creatures rose around them. He couldn’t see much of Golem, but Aaron swore he saw a smirk on the man’s face.
“Campbell, stay back!” Aaron yelled. Campbell nodded and got between Aaron and Miche. Aaron shot a telekinetic bolt at one of the creatures, which only caused it to move slightly. Miche sent a copy of herself running to another, making the copy explode on impact, but found that it only caused minor damage to the creatures.
“We can’t draw out this fight. One of us has to reach Golem,” she said.
“Shouldn’t be too hard,” Aaron said as he sent a psychic wave into Golem’s mind, trying to knock him out. Golem’s head shot back, but he remained conscious. “Shit. He has psychic defenses, too.”
Golem shook his finger at Aaron. Aaron cocked his head, leaving him surprised when one of the stone creatures knocked him violently into the arms of another. The pain had Aaron reeling; so early in the fight and he’d already been given a damaging blow. As the creature holding him began to tighten his grip, he saw Campbell’s eyes open in horror.
Many things began to happen at once. Aaron sensed a change in Campbell’s mind, one that he’d never encountered before. He also began to feel the creature holding him shake. Purple energy surrounded the arm of another creature, then tore it from the creature’s body. Suddenly, the creature holding him exploded. Miche set up a line of copies to protect herself as quickly as she could. Once things were settled, Aaron found himself, and Campbell, unharmed.
“Campbell…?” he whispered. Campbell was just as surprised as he was, and he very slowly shook his head.
“Sorry if that hurt you,” Aaron heard a girl’s voice behind him. “But we figured you needed some help.”
“We?” He turned around to face a young Asian woman walking toward him.
“Yes,” Aaron heard another voice. “We were in the area and saw these creatures spring up. We thought it best to offer our own abilities.” This young man looked startlingly similar to the young woman.

“I’m Jane,” she said.
"I'm James," he said. "Now, shall we dismantle the rest of these creatures?"
